The Forest Cafe

Forest Cafe is not really a place, it is a lifestyle. Located in the old town heart of Edinburgh, it's special magnetism which draws people like an invisible force. Upon crossing the threshold, a warm atmosphere envelopes you with a feeling of freedom to be yourself.

Inside, all the time of day, something interesting is happening. Free cultural events take place such as acoustic concerts, performances, documentaries, discussions... Anyone who wants to express themselves and share art can do it here. Lots of people come together to enjoy company or simply to read, write or just be in peace.

The Forest demonstrates that our reality is changeable. Workers volunteer their time without pressure or obligation. At seven in the evening candles are lit and the mood becomes even more magical and you can enjoy a vegan dinner with a cup of tea.

I deeply admire this kind of project. If we had more Forest Cafes in the world , perhaps things would be better.
